• Hands on experience as a Kong Developer or API Developer, with a solid understanding of API gateway concepts and architecture.
• Strong proficiency in Kong API gateway administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages like Python or JavaScript.
• Proficient in managing microservices in a containerized environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• In-depth knowledge of RESTful API design principles, OpenAPI specifications, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Familiarity with API gateway plugins, rate limiting, circuit breaking, request/response transformation, and load balancing.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines (CI/CD) tools like GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
