We are looking for experienced Software Engineers (approximately 8 - 12 years will be good) to help support AMD’s existing business-critical application.

·                     Production Support: Candidate will bring in their experience and knowledge of specific programming languages and technologies (details provided below), apply them to troubleshoot and solve day to day issues.

1.                  Candidates will investigate the issues raised by stakeholders either within AMD or outside the company (with the manufacturing facilities)

2.                  They should work with the stakeholder entities, gather more information, analyze the details, debug the issues and find the root cause of the problem

3.                  They should identify the solution that will bring resolution to the problem. 

4.                  Candidates should have excellent communication skills.

5.                  Candidates will keep all the stakeholders updated of the developments in the debug/resolution process.  If they are working on the fix that needs to be communicated or if the problem is with the stakeholders, they should communicate clearly what the root cause of the problem is and how it can be resolved at the stakeholders’ end. 

6.                  All of the above are in real time production manufacturing environment setup and hence timely action and response are extremely critical; candidates should function with a sense of urgency

·                     Software Development: Candidates will also do software development (in case of available Bandwidth) in modifying an existing feature because the requirements of the users have changed; development work arising from new feature additions to the application; maintenance of the application that are needed because of applying security patches or any other IT related requirements were the servers have to be brought down and up and ensure application works as expected.

·                     We are looking for an experienced candidate with MUST HAVE high proficiency in Linux/Unix skills, Debugging Skills and Communication Skills.  For the Software development aspects, the candidates should have knowledge and experience in some form of Javascript, any type of UI dev experience (even HTML, CSS etc.).  Strong Python Development experience.  Some form of RDBMS database (MySQL or PostgreSQL etc.): Other skillsets: Docker, Git, REST.  Good communication Skills (need to interact with the stakeholders / business owners / other developers on a regular basis).  Provide prompt updates in daily stand ups, weekly business owner meetings and follow existing process and provide updates in JIRA Tickets etc.

·                     Education/Certifications:

·                     Must have a bachelor’s degree Computer Science.  Equivalent extensive software development work experience in the technology industry may also be accepted as a substitute for Comp. Sci. degree.

·                     Must have experience MUST be there. This is not an opportunity to learn skillsets on the job. Candidates will be hired because of their established superior knowledge and experience in the skillset required.

·                     Will conduct 2 or more technical interviews with subject matter experts on camera
